Mario VS SpongeBob is a series of games released for the Nintendo Wii from 2007-2012. The series revolves around Mario and SpongeBob SquarePants competing in various sports, similar to the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games series. The games were published by Nintendo and THQ.

The first entry in the series, Mario VS SpongeBob SquarePants, was released in mid-2007. It focuses on Mario and SpongeBob first meeting, then challenging each other to a competition.
The second entry in the series, Mario VS SpongeBob 2: Bikini Bottom Blowout!, was released in the summer of 2008. It involves Mario and SpongeBob's teams going against each other in a fighting tournament, similar to Super Smash Bros..
The third entry in the series, Mario VS SpongeBob 3: Krazy Kart Khaos!, was released in early 2009. It revolves around a racing tournament between the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom and Bikini Bottom, in lieu of the Mario Kart series.
The fourth entry in the series, Mario VS SpongeBob 4: Spongy Soccer, was released in 2010 to coincide with the 2010 World Cup. Its main premise is a soccer tournament held in Bikini Bottom's Sand Stadium, similar to the Mario Strikers series.
The fifth and currently final entry in the series, Mario VS SpongeBob 5: SquarePants Sluggers, was released in August 2012. Heavily inspired by Mario Super Sluggers, it revolves around a baseball tournament in Bikini Bottom.
